Just ten days before the TNA Wrestling: Genesis pay-per-view event, another episode of TNA iMPACT aired on AXS TV. The show featured some big names, such as the number one contender for the TNA World Championship, Joe Hendry. He was in tag team action in the main event, standing opposite the reigning world titleholder, Nic Nemeth. Other big names featured on the show included Jordynne Grace, Mike Santana, The Rascalz, and many more. Let’s take a look at what went down in Atlanta, GA, a little over a week before TNA’s next PPV show.
The System Clashed With Eric Young, Jonathan Gresham, and Steve Maclin
It didn’t take long for the action to get going, as Jonathan Gresham and Eddie Edwards traded strikes right at the start of the match. Eric Young and Brian Myers eventually became the legal men, and things briefly spilled to the outside. Alisha Edwards distracted Young, allowing The System to capitalize.
The System dominated Young before Steve Maclin got the hot tag. Maclin hit two clotheslines on JDC before landing a Lou Thesz Press. Maclin hit an Olympic Slam on Edwards, followed by a backbreaker on JDC, but Myers broke up a pin attempt. Maclin planted JDC with the K.I.A. to give his team the win.
The celebration didn’t last, as The System took out the winners with steel chairs. The trio then wrapped one of the chairs around Gresham’s throat and rammed him into the ring post.
The System might have just taken out @TheJonGresham for good! @Myers_Wrestling @DirtyDangoCurty @TheEddieEdwards
