TNA iMPACT 10/9 Recap: Mike Santana Reads Powerful Message Before ‘Bound For Glory 2025’

TNA’s final stop on the road to “Bound for Glory” took place on Thursday’s episode of “TNA iMPACT.” TNA World Champion Trick Williams opened the show. A no-disqualification match between Joe Hendry and Eric Young was also held on the go-home edition of “TNA iMPACT.”

Trick Williams and Mike Santana Share Final Words Before Sunday

Trick Williams walked down the ramp and entered the ring to get the show started. He claimed to have respect for Mike Santana, but he said Santana needs more than a story to win the TNA World Championship. Williams said his TNA title reign is best for business.

Santana addressed Williams from the crowd. He said Williams hasn’t fought the same battles that he survived. He recalled having to explain to his daughter that he was a drug addict who had to go away for a while to get clean. Through it all, Santana persevered. Santana said at “Bound For Glory,” he has everything to gain and nothing to lose.

Williams said once he defeats Santana, he’ll be bound for rehab again. Santana said Williams is a one-trick pony. He then said once he beats Williams, he’ll be bound for developmental.

Tessa Blanchard vs. Gia Miller Hype Video

A vignette hyping up Tessa Blanchard vs. Gia Miller at “Bound for Glory” aired. Last week’s promos from Blanchard and Miller were recapped.

Ryan Nemeth w/Nic Nemeth vs. Matt Cardona

Matt Cardona hit a facebuster after the two traded poses on the turnbuckles. Cardona landed a baseball slide on Ryan Nemeth. Nic got on the apron, which distracted Cardona. Nemeth dropkicked Cardona out of the ring before connecting with a neckbreaker.

Cardona landed a missile dropkick from the middle rope. The referee caught Nic tripping Cardona and threw him out of the match. Cardona then hit Radio Silence on Nemeth for the win.

Winner: Matt Cardona

The Rascalz Want in on Bound For Glory

The Rascalz were back in the treehouse, and Zachary Wentz joked that Trey Miguel betrayed him during a triple threat match between all three members of the group. Miguel pretended to cry. The Rascalz talked about not having a match for “Bound For Glory.”

Miguel suggested meeting with Santino Marella to discuss securing a spot on TNA’s biggest event.

Mara Sade Turns Darkness to Light

Mara Sade discussed first entering the TNA locker room. She recalled meeting Jazz and said the wrestling legend inspired her. She then mentioned being clotheslined by Agent Zero, which led to her teaming with The Hardys.

Sade said she’s been turning every dark point in her life and career into light. She wants to serve as an inspiration to little girls who feel stuck.

Mustafa Ali w/Order 4 vs. JDC w/The System

JDC sent Mustafa Ali out of the ring early. Ali tripped his opponent and dragged him outside. JDC sent Ali’s head crashing onto the apron. Back in the ring, Ali was sent crashing to the canvas by a back body drop.

Ali was dropkicked off the ring apron. Order 4 and The System argued outside, allowing Ali to hit a suicide dive on JDC. Ali had JDC in a tree of woe, but his groin slammed right into the ring post. JDC took advantage by landing a superplex. Ali fought back with a suplex, followed by a rolling neckbreaker. JDC rebounded with a falcon arrow for a near fall. JDC landed a senton on Ali and members of his secret service. Members of both factions brawled outside of the ring.

Agent Zero slammed JDC onto the apron. Ali took advantage with a 450 splash for the win.

Winner: Mustafa Ali

After the match, The System entered the ring with weapons to chase off Order 4.

Kelani Jordan and Indi Hartwell Sign Bound For Glory Contract

Santino Marella was in the ring to serve as a moderator for the contract signing involving TNA Knockouts World Champion Kelani Jordan and Indi Hartwell.

Before either wrestler could speak, The Personal Concierge stormed the ring and invoked a rematch clause for The Elegance Brand to challenge The IInspiration for the TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championship at “Bound For Glory.”

Hartwell then told Kelani that she was dreaming of becoming a TNA champion. She said she missed family events for the wrestling industry. Jordan interrupted Hartwell, promising that she’s not interested in trashing TNA despite being an “NXT” star.

Jordan admitted that Hartwell took her under her wing. Still, Jordan said she continues to improve and will put her friendship with Hartwell aside on Sunday.

Hartwell said she wants to believe Jordan, but she said her family is flying from Australia to Lowell to see her win. The two then signed the contract before facing off.

Team 3D and The Hardys Enter One Last Dance

A video package detailing the history of Team 3D and The Hardys aired ahead of their “Bound for Glory” tables match.

Leon Slater Sends Final Warning to Je’Von Evans

Leon Slater was out to speak to fans ahead of his “Bound for Glory” match against Je’Von Evans. Slater admitted he had difficulty fitting in without a father figure before finding professional wrestling. Slater said he’s trying to continue the legacies left behind by the likes of The Motor City Machine Guns, Jerry Lynn, and AJ Styles.

Slater then turned his attention to Evans. He vowed to prevent him from taking the TNA X Division Championship to “NXT.”

Joe Hendry vs. Eric Young – No DQ Match

Joe Hendry wasted little time grabbing weapons from under the ring. He slammed a trash can on Eric Young’s head. Young rammed Hendry into the ring post. Young wrapped a chain around Hendry’s throat. Young wrapped that same chain around his fist and tried punching Hendry, but his hand caught the post.

Hendry avoided a piledriver on the ring steps and delivered a back body drop. Back in the ring, Hendry slammed Young’s head on each top turnbuckle. The action spilled to the stage. The two exchanged eye rakes before Hendry delivered a scoop slam. Young went for another piledriver, but Hendry hit another back body drop. The action then spilled into the crowd. Young went crashing into a recycling bin. Hendry was dumped back towards ringside. Young put several objects in the ring.

Hendry was hit with two chair shots. Young then wedged the chair between the first two turnbuckles in a corner. Hendry turned the tables and sent Young into the chair. Hendry hit Young with two cooking sheets. After landing a fallaway slam, Hendry attempted Standing Ovation, but Young raked his eyes. Young grabbed a sheet and charged in, but no one was in the corner. This allowed Hendry to connect with an Olympic Slam on a chair for a nearfall.

Hendry tried talking sense into his former mentor, Young, but he got a low blow for his efforts. Young then spiked Hendry onto the chair with a piledriver for the victory.

Mike Santana Gets A Special Message

“TNA iMPACT” ended with Mike Santana getting a special message from Konnan, who reminded Santana just how important he is to the Puerto Rican and Latino communities. Konnan mentioned the divisive response to the announcement that music star Bad Bunny would be the Super Bowl halftime performer.

Konnan mentioned legendary Hispanic wrestlers, such as Pedro Morales and Eddie Guerrero. Can Mike Santana etch his name in history this Sunday?
