The final stop on the road to TNA Rebellion occurred on Thursday’s TNA iMPACT episode. TNA World Champion Joe Hendry teamed with Elijah to take on WWE NXT star Ethan Page and Frankie Kazarian. Did Hendry gain momentum ahead of his three-way title defense against Page and Kazarian?

Trey Miguel and Ace Austin vs. Moose and JDC w/Alisha Edwards

JDC didn’t waste any time getting a headlock on Trey Miguel. He then focused on his opponent’s wrist, but Miguel had some mat counters ready. Miguel and Ace Austin had some double-team success on Moose and JDC, but Alisha’s distraction turned the tide. Moose sent Miguel shoulder-first into the ring post before an ad break.

Moose went for an exploder, but Miguel launched himself in the corner to tag Austin in. JDC tried cutting Austin off but was dropkicked out of the ring. Austin then hit a side Russian leg sweep on Moose, followed by a leg drop. JDC hit Down and Dirty on Miguel, but Austin broke up the pin.

Moose went for a powerbomb on Austin but was sent outside the ring with a hurricanrana. Miguel hit a DDT on Moose with an assist from Austin. Alisha got involved again, distracting the referee. JDC booted Miguel low while Brian Myers took out Austin. Moose and JDC steal another one.

Tommy Dreamer Has Advice for Masha Slamovich

Masha Slamovich is not happy with Tessa Blanchard, who put her trainer and longtime friend in the hospital following an unaired attack. Slamovich said her trainer is the one person who has always believed in her. Tommy Dreamer had some advice for Slamovich. He reminded the TNA Knockouts Champion that she’s always been special and told her to fight in her friend’s honor.

Mike Santana Ready To Become A Monster

Mike Santana was in a group therapy session for recovering addicts. Santana said he sees strength in everyone in the room. He said people in the session have made the decision to turn things around.

He then said a great man once talked about hard times and the importance of staying true. Santana turned his attention to Mustafa Ali. He said Ali is a man who wakes up every day and runs. He called Ali the true addict, who is addicted to Mike Santana. He said Ali is upset that he can’t control his destination. Santana said he would become a monster against Ali at TNA Rebellion.

Ash by Elegance Is Not Happy

Heather by Elegance, called Ash to inform her about the four-way tag team title match at TNA Rebellion. Ash was not happy about the match. Heather tried staying positive. The Personal Concierge said the gold will remain with them by any means necessary.

Rosemary vs. Jacy Jayne w/Fallon Henley and Jazmyn Nix

WWE NXT liaison Arianna Grace was a guest commentator for this match. Jayne shoved Rosemary to the corner and got some offense in, but she fell to the ground when her opponent threatened to spit mist on her, just as she did last week.

Henley and Nix tried interfering, but Rosemary wasn’t fazed and hit Jayne with an exploder. Rosemary then choked Jayne with a headscissors. Nix hit Rosemary from behind, allowing Jayne to regain momentum. Rosemary bit one of Jayne’s fingers. She then bit her opponent’s head before landing a single-leg dropkick. Jayne popped Rosemary with a knee, but it wasn’t effective. Rosemary dropped Jayne for a near fall.

Nix saved Jayne from a Death Valley Driver. Jayne knocked Nix off the apron, but Jayne hit Rosemary with the Discus Punch for the victory.

Winner: Jacy Jayne

After the match, Jayne, Nix, and Henley attacked Rosemary, but Xia Brookside and Lei Ying Lee chased them out of the ring. Santino Marella announced a six-woman tag team match for TNA Rebellion. Brookside, Rosemary, and Lee will team up to take on Jayne, Nix, and Henley.

The Nemeth Brothers Arrive at Hardy Compound

The Nemeth Brothers were on their way to the Hardy Compound. They ran into Willow momentarily. The brothers were ready to enter the compound. Nic and Ryan agreed to split up. Willow said he sees dead people before busting out some dance moves.

Nic was attacked by Jeff Hardy. He was thrown into a tree branch. Hardy took Willow’s umbrella and delivered some shots to Nic. Dirt was thrown in Hardy’s eyes, momentarily allowing Nic to run away. They fought onto the back of a pickup truck. Nic sent Hardy crashing onto two tables with a backbody drop.

Matt Hardy then attacked Ryan. They both fell into a pool, and Ryan watched a short film with Senior Benjamin. The film showed Ryan posing as a wrestler while Matt’s children booed him. Ryan was defeated in the film, bringing tears to Benjamin’s eyes. We then transitioned to a therapy session with Ryan, who talked about his brother Nic. Ryan admitted his parents didn’t hug him enough. Reby played a tune on the piano, and Ryan vowed to take the TNA Tag Team Championship.

Ryan turned goth and did a comedy routine with Matt’s son. Matt stopped drowning Ryan when he saw Nic holding the TNA Tag Team Championship. Nic avoided a German suplex by shoving one of Matt’s kids. Ryan hit Matt in the back with one of the titles.

Jeff reemerged from the table spot earlier. He found Matt lying on the grass, ending the latest Hardy Compound trip.

Sean Waltman Returning to TNA?

Trey Miguel and Ace Austin admitted that the numbers game by The System was getting to them. Miguel then made a call to Sean Waltman to help even the odds.

Tessa Blanchard vs. Missa Kate

Missa Kate delivered a loud chop to the chest of Tessa Blanchard. Kate reversed a headscissors attempt into a backbreaker. Blanchard delivered a running kick to the side of Kate’s head. Blanchard maintained wrist control and hit two clotheslines.

Kate was dropped with a side suplex. Kate missed a knee strike and was planted with a cutter. Blanchard went high-risk and landed Magnum. Instead of going for the pin, Blanchard hit Buzz Saw for the victory.

Winner: Tessa Blanchard

After the match, Masha Slamovich attacked Blanchard. She connected with Snow Plow and got Blanchard in a Fujiwara armbar before TNA security broke things up.

Eric Young’s Final Offer to Steve Maclin

Steve Maclin went through his journal, and Eric Young was with him. Young said if he wasn’t going to win the TNA International Championship, he’s glad Maclin won it. Young said he’s offering Maclin a spot in The Northern Armory one more time. Maclin told Young that he’d see him in Los Angeles. Young took Maclin’s journal and threw it into the fire.

Joe Hendry and Elijah vs. Ethan Page and Frankie Kazarian

Elijah and Kazarian got the match started. Elijah got in a headlock takedown. Kazarian tried to sneak in a pin, but Elijah stomped on his arm. Elijah walked the top rope and struck the back of Kazarian before knocking him out of the ring. Kazarian tagged Page in. Page wanted Hendry, and the two met at the center of the ring. The TNA World Champion landed a shoulder block on Page. Hendry was favoring his injured rotator cuff. He hit a suplex on Page before tagging Elijah back in.

Elijah knocked Kazarian off the apron, which allowed Page to knock him to the mat. Page and Kazarian kept Elijah grounded for a while. Elijah landed a high knee on Kazarian. Elijah went for a tag, but Page pulled Hendry from the apron. Page then sent Hendry shoulder-first into the ring steps. Hendry was eventually tagged back in and hit a fallaway slam on Kazarian. He then landed another on Page, but he was hurting on the second slam.

Kazarian was dropped with an Attitude Adjustment. Kazarian hit a scoop slam on Hendry and landed a springboard leg drop. Kazarian hooked the injured arm of Hendry, but Page got in a blind tag. Kazarian was tagged back in.

Page and Kazarian looked for a double superplex on Hendry, and they got it. Elijah broke up the pin attempt. Elijah hit a swinging reverse DDT on Page. Hendry landed a cutter on Kazarian. Hendry couldn’t hit Standing Ovation due to his injury. Page had enough of Kazarian and refused to tag back in. This allowed Elijah to hit a Tombstone for the win.

Winners: Joe Hendry and Elijah
