TNA Thursday Night iMPACT 2/5 Recap: Moose Returns To Fight Off The System, Steve Maclin Shocks Mike Santana

The road to TNA “No Surrender 2026” continued with Thursday’s episode of iMPACT.” TNA Knockouts World Champion Lei Ying Lee teamed with her Angel Warriors partner Xia Brookside and Indi Hartwell to take on the Elegance Brand. There was also a stunning turn of events with the recently fired Steve Maclin. Also, Moose returned after he was betrayed by The System.

Trey Miguel vs. Adam Brooks

Arianna Grace was on commentary for the opening match on “iMPACT.” Adam Brooks had a wrist lock on Trey Miguel, who bounced off the ropes to escape. Miguel sent Brooks out of the ring. He then landed a springboard moonsault and blew a kiss at Grace. Back in the ring, Miguel was hit with a back elbow, followed by a basement dropkick. Miguel rebounded with a German suplex. He connected with a missile dropkick. Brooks was dropped by a hurricanrana.

Miguel was knocked off the top turnbuckle, but he landed a high kick on Brooks. Miguel was sent back into the ring with a superplex. Brooks then connected with a suicide dive. Miguel was planted by a sitout powerbomb. Brooks was looking for a cradle suplex, but he was nailed by a poison rana. Miguel nailed his opponent with the Lightning Spiral for the win.

Winner: Trey Miguel

After the match, Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo drilled Miguel with the TNA International Championship. Grace wasn’t happy with “Stacks” over his actions.

Angel Warriors and Indi Hartwell Warn Elegance Brand

Gia Miller interviewed the Angel Warriors and Indi Hartwell. Hartwell translated Lee’s promo for Brookside. The babyface trio said they’re all on the same page. Lee then warned Ash by Elegance that she’s looking to end the Elegance Brand.

The Righteous vs. Tommy Two Scoops and TW3

Vincent drilled Tommy Two Scoops with a clothesline and knocked TW3 off the apron. Dutch was tagged in, and he landed a sidewalk slam. TW3 tagged in, and he hesitated going after Dutch. He went for a crossbody, but Dutch caught him and slammed him down to the mat. The Righteous hit Orange Sunshine for the quick victory.

Winners: The Righteous

Vincent grabbed the mic as Dutch continued to pin TW3 after the match ended. Vicent said The Righteous doesn’t want a war with The Hardys. He proposed teaming with The Hardys instead of fighting again.

The System Attacks The Hardys

Backstage, The Hardys responded to the offer. Matt Hardy said both he and Jeff are moving on. Jeff suspected that The Righteous wants to form a faction. Brian Myers, Eddie Edwards, and Cedric Alexander interrupted before Bear Bronson ambushed The Hardys.

Frankie Kazarian Claims Injustices

Backstage, Frankie Kazarian and Daria Rae shook hands. This occurred just one week after the two had a private conversation. Kazarian then made his way out. The former TNA World Champion gave credit to Mike Santana, but he said Santana doesn’t represent TNA with dignity and class.

Kazarian said he was out to drop some information. He said he wrestled Santana with a surgically repaired hand. Kazarian bragged about being booked in a Texas Deathmatch despite the hand issue. Kazarian mentioned his meeting with Rae and said they both agreed he hasn’t been treated like the star that he is.

Kazarian said there isn’t a man in Albuquerque that he can’t give a beating to before Elijah walked out to the ring for his match.

Elijah and Jada Stone vs. Mustafa Ali and Tasha Steelz

Tasha Steelz and Jada Stone got the match started. Stone leaped over Steelz and shoved her into the corner. She then landed two arm drags and a dropkick. Steelz was outside of the ring, but Ali prevented her from landing a suicide dive. Ali and The Great Hands checked on Steelz, but Elijah lifted Stone up and tossed her onto Order 4. Back in the ring, Steelz regained momentum and landed a suplex for a near fall. Stone and Steelz knocked each other down with simultaneous super kicks.

Elijah and Ali became the legal participants. Ali got clocked with a high knee. Ali responded with a rolling neckbreaker. He then targeted the right arm of Elijah. Ali was planted by a powerbomb. Stone and Steelz were back in the ring. Stone landed a slingblade and then a split-legged moonsault for a two-count. The Great Hands distracted the referee, allowing Special Agent Zero to slam Elijah on the apron.

Steelz tagged in Ali, who shoved Stone before eating a right hand. Stone then landed a DDT on the leader of Order 4. Stone landed a moonsault into another DDT. She went high-risk and took out Ali and John Skyler outside of the ring. Ali had enough and took out Stone with a baseball slide. He then tossed Elijah into the ring steps. Ali was rocked by a handspring stunner, but Steelz broke up the pin attempt.

Steelz tagged in, but she ran into double knees. Stone went up the top rope, but Ali grabbed her and landed a Tombstone. Steelz pinned Stone for the victory.

Arianna Grace Convinces Santino to Give Her Title Shot

Arianna Grace was with Santino Marella and told him that no matter what she does, she can’t get ahead in wrestling. She asked her father for a title match. Marella said it wouldn’t be fair to the other stars. Grace said it would make up for Marella missing her 16th birthday. Marella said he’ll make it happen.

Steve Maclin Shocks Mike Santana

Santino Marella and Daria Rae argued over the booking of Lei Ying Lee vs. Arianna Grace, as well as Steve Maclin being backstage despite his firing last week. Rae said she would speak to the board about this. Maclin then addressed his firing. He reflected on his time in TNA Wrestling. He said he doesn’t show his emotions all the time, but he loves TNA because of the locker room. Maclin said he’s happy to leave TNA with his head held high and a tear in his eye.

Mike Santana told Maclin that going one-on-one with him made him realize he belonged in the TNA locker room. He thanked Maclin for everything he did for TNA. The two then embraced before Maclin appeared to be making his exit. Maclin then stunned everyone by ambushing Santana before security took him away. Maclin said the problem is he’s too selfless.

Tessa Blanchard w/Victoria Crawford and Mila Moore vs. Rachel Ley

Tessa Blanchard was on the offensive early on. She sent her opponent crashing into the corner. She then landed a knee to the midsection. Blanchard connected with a dropkick to Ley’s back. Ley landed a back elbow, followed by a big boot. Blanchard avoided a moonsault before hitting Buzzsaw for the emphatic win.

Winner: Tessa Blanchard

Mara Sade and Ryan Nemeth Compete in Athletic Challenge

Mara Sade and Ryan Nemeth were at an empty football stadium for an athletic challenge. Sade threw a football and caught her own pass for a touchdown. Nemeth hurt his shoulder before even throwing the football.

The two then played darts. Nemeth hit a bullseye, but Sade threw her dart at Nemeth’s back. The two then played a game of horse basketball. Nemeth was horrendous, while Sade drilled buckets before super kicking him again.

Eric Young Wants BDE to Join Him

Eric Young approached BDE, who said he’s not interested in the cleanse. Young said BDE has reach and power. Young urged BDE to open his eyes and see the truth. Young said he’ll give BDE the opportunity of a lifetime. He wants the “right” answer from BDE next week.

Angel Warriors and Indi Hartwell vs. Elegance Brand w/The Personal Concierge and Mr. Elegance

Ash by Elegance faked getting things started before tagging in M, who mocked Lei Ying Lee. The TNA Knockouts World Champion elbowed the leg of M. Xia Brookside tagged in and landed double-team moves with her Angel Warriors partner. M had Brookside in a headlock. The rest of the Elegance Brand went for a triple team before Lee and Indi Hartwell fought them off. Brookside landed a crossbody on M and then Broken Wings.

The Personal Concierge grabbed Brookside’s leg when the referee was distracted. This allowed M and Heather to double-team her. Heather then applied a headlock. Mr. Elegance taunted in front of Hartwell. Lee was tagged in, and she delivered a series of punches to Ash in the corner. Mr. Elegance tossed his jacket at Lee to stop the momentum. Ash kept Lee grounded with a headlock. Lee powered out and exchanged clotheslines with Ash.

Hartwell and M were tagged in. Hartwell stomped on M’s toe before planting her with a spinebuster. Heather got the tag, and Brookside got a blind tag. Brookside landed a crossbody on the Elegance Brand. Mr. Elegance grabbed Brookside. The Personal Concierge accidentally threw glitter at Mr. Elegance.

Back in the ring, Brookside pinned Heather to win the match for her team.

The Elegance Brand attacked Brookside after the match.

Moose is Back

Mike Santana wasn’t about to stay silent after being attacked by Steve Maclin. Santana said he knew he had a target on his head, but he thrives in the chaos. He said the last thing he expected was for Maclin to betray him. He dared Maclin to look at him like a man instead of a [expletive]. Santana didn’t get Maclin because The System attacked him. Eddie Edwards went to clock Santana with the TNA World Championship, but The Hardys stormed down to the ring looking for revenge.

The numbers game was too great before Moose returned. He was behind The System and cleaned house. He powerbombed Cedric Alexander into his stablemates to end the show.
