TNA wrestler AJ Francis took some time to answer questions from the TNA+ subscribers ahead of this week’s iMPACT show. Here is the Q&A as per the press release sent out by TNA.
Q: How satisfying is it to prove the doubters wrong and show you’re not a one trick pony? What’s your short term and long term goals to helping TNA grow?
It’s less about proving people wrong and proving myself right. I always knew I was a main eventer. I always knew I was the best on the microphone. I always knew I was the Best Big Man in the Business. Now everyone else is finally catching up.
Q: What/who inspired you to go on this wrestling journey?
I’ve wanted to be a wrestler since I was 8 years old. I’ve watched wrestling since I was 1 years old. I have always loved this business and I always will.
Q: What has been your favorite city to wrestle in since joining TNA?
Montreal was the best crowd. It was my first singles title defense and it’s the biggest crowd in TNA in the last 10 years.
Q: You’re doing the best work of your career right now. What do you owe that to?
I owe it to finally getting opportunities. Finally getting longer matches. Finally getting the microphone. I didn’t become a better performer, I became a more featured performer.
Q: With the return of Genesis, what other TNA staple would you like to see return? PLE or match that we haven’t seen in a while?
We need to bring back Lockdown so I can give someone a Down Payment off the Cage.
