Add FightsATW on GoogleTyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs) is out for blood.
In one day, ‘The Gypsy King’ will seek retribution in one of his most highly anticipated rematches yet, against the pugilistic powerhouse from Ukraine, Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs). With the fight right around the corner, Fury is laser-focused on his victory. In fact, he even revealed that Usyk is in for a world of pain on fight night.
Fury arrived at their final press conference donning a white patterned suit and a black fedora. However, one couldn’t deny that there was a rather uncomfortable air of seriousness around him. Fury was far from his jolly self during the presser, and he did not hesitate to show his annoyance, constantly glaring at the crowd.
The staredown was a menacing affair in itself, with the duo refusing to break the gaze for almost 10 minutes. There were no smiles that were passed around his team, this version of Fury was undoubtedly one that was to be feared. “I’m going to dish out a whole lot of pain. I’m going to put this f*cker in the hurt locker, for sure,” he said.
The host was quick to notice the change in Fury’s demeanor. He asked Fury what the fight meant to him, highlighting the former champ’s words that the fight was neither for redemption nor for regaining his belts. Moreover, he also questioned him on the noticeable “edge” around him.
“I’ve got nothing to say. Apart from there’s going to be a whole lot of hurt and pain in the fight, you watch. That’s all I got to say. Talking’s been done, you know, the first fight, I talked, I joked, all me career. This time, I’m serious, I’m going to do some f*cking damage here,” he said.
“All The Talking’s Been Done”
Fury is in war mode. While his unlikely silence for the majority of the presser has gotten the boxing community curious, he said that he has already spoken what he wished to speak.
“All the talking’s been done. I did 8 hours and 40 minutes in London at the first press conference,” he said while talking to iFL TV. “From there, there’s no more talking. I’ve had enough. I’m here to hurt this f*cker and put on a good show.”
