Tyson Fury vs. Mariusz Wach Is Set For July 24 In Thailand

After days of teasing a fight announcement on social media, Queensberry Promotions officially announced the return of the ‘Gypsy’ King for July 24 at Max Muay Thai Stadium in Pattaya, Thailand. Tyson Fury (35-2-1, 24 KOs) will face Mariusz Wach (39-13, 20 KOs) in what will likely be a 10-round fight. Although the streaming platform hasn’t been announced, the Netflix logo appeared on the fight poster, indicating the fight will likely land there. In addition, the WBC (World Boxing Council) will present Fury with the inaugural humanitarian title.

Fury’s opponent, the 46-year-old Wach from Krakow, Poland, was last seen in March, when he dropped a unanimous decision to Victor Vykhryst in Budapest. The 6’7” Wach isn’t likely a big threat to Fury, as this is an appetizer to the main meal later in the year, which looks to pit Fury against Anthony Joshua.

The event is expected to draw international media attention as Fury returns to action against the experienced Mariusz Wach, who has competed with some of the biggest names in heavyweight boxing.

With an historic night to come at Max Muay Thai Stadium, fans can look forward to an evening that celebrates the very best of boxing, while demonstrating the sport’s ability to create positive change.
