Former unified champion Vasiliy Lomachenko (17-3, 11 KOs) will look to once again become a world champion as he faces George Kambosos Jr. (21-2, 10 KOs), who was also a unified lightweight champion. The question is which fighter has another great performance left to become a world champion once again.

In his last outing, Lomachenko came up short against Devin Haney in a fight that most pundits felt he won. It was Lomachenko’s only fight in 2023, but now he has the opportunity for another title and has to defeat Kambosos. Lomachenko is now 36 and could be closer to retirement, so this fight may be the last opportunity for a title.

Kambosos also only fought once last year, and he was in a close fight with Maxi Hughes when he squeezed out a majority decision. Many thought Hughes won the fight, but he didn’t, and that win gave Kambosos the shot at the title he had been desiring on Saturday night.
