Viral Video: ROW Champ Danny Limelight Talks Wrestling Keyshawn Davis in The Gym

Reality of Wrestling (ROW) world champion Danny Limelight was preparing for another day of training when he received a call that led to a grappling moment with former WBO lightweight champion Keyshawn Davis, which turned into a viral video.

Limelight, who is wrestling at a United Wrestling Network event on Sunday in Long Beach, CA, where he will team up with Slice Boogie (they go by 5150) to defend their tag team titles, received a call on Saturday from his gym partner Dozier. Little did Limelight know that this call would make things very interesting for him later that day.

“My homie Dozier, who I work out with at the gym, is also one of Keyshawn Davis’ peoples,” Limelight told FightsATW. “He invited me to the gym because he said Keyshawn was going to be in L.A. to do a boxing gym takeover. He sent out the invite to a few athletes, so I pulled up and didn’t really notice anyone other than Tommy Richman, who sings ‘Million Dollar Baby.’ He sparred with Keyshawn, as they were the ones mostly doing the workouts together.”

Limelight showed up at Brickhouse Boxing Gym in L.A., and as a pro wrestler and one of the top names in the independent wrestling circuit, he does what he does best: be the antagonist. With fighters, media, influencers, and celebrities now filling the gym, Limelight started to stir the pot a bit.

“Keyshawn and I were just chopping it up, talking about wrestling and we were poppin some sh*t when he was in the ring, and he said, ‘I’ll wrestle you.’ After some back and forth, we just started wrestling.”

That video has not only been viewed by hundreds of thousands on Davis’s social media accounts but also by many more on media aggregator accounts across various social media platforms. The moment was competitive but respectful, as the two remained cordial afterward and smiled about it. Later, Limelight talked about Davis being on the phone with WWE Hall of Famer and founder of ROW, Booker T, who is a fight fan himself and has previously done fight night commentary for ESPN Radio.

“After we wrestled, I put him on the phone with Booker T, who had just finished watching one of Keyshawn’s fights on YouTube, so it was perfect timing. I told Keyshawn to pull up to the next Reality of Wrestling show, and Booker also extended the invite, so we’ll see.”

It was a fun moment for both Davis and Limelight, exposing both to new audiences. You never know when those viral opportunities will happen, so when they do, you just have to be ready. Limelight and Davis were which is why the clip is everywhere.
