In what is shaping up to be one of the biggest Saturday Night’s Main Event (SNME) of the year, WWE hosts the event live from The Delta Center in Salt Lake City, UT.
Although the main event will likely be Cody Rhodes vs. Drew McIntyre, all eyes are on the WWE heavyweight title match between CM Punk and Jey Uso—two wrestlers with large fan bases, respectively, and some shared between them. Things heated up on the “go-home show” edition of Monday Night RAW, where their heated promo left fans wondering which direction this story will head towards. Will Uso make a full heel turn, or is this geared toward Punk making a heel run himself as the champion?
The WWE Women’s world title match between the champion Tiffany Stratton and Jade Cargill has an interesting story to it. It’s obvious that Cargill is destined for a title run, but is Saturday the moment she captures gold? Also, we haven’t seen Bianca Belair in a while —will she make an appearance, and whose side will she be on? The Intercontinental triple threat title match between Dominik Mysterio, Penta, and Rusev is a sleeper and should serve to put Mysterio over even more. There is a lot to anticipate on Saturday Night, so buckle up; if done correctly, it could make for a wild ride.
