We are just days away from this year’s WWE Survivor Series War Games, and the internet is running wild with various theories about the event’s outcomes. FightsATW brings you a preview and looks to either add to those theories or further prove the opinions you already have heading into Saturday night’s PLE (Premium Live Event). One thing is certain: Paul Heyman returning means “business has picked up” regarding the Bloodline feud, which can only mean great things for the night’s main event.
Men’s WarGames Match: Roman Reigns, The Usos, Sami Zayn, and CM Punk vs. New Bloodline & Bronson Reed
The fate of the WWE appears to be solely in the hands of the Bloodline feud. Yes, that sounds like an extreme statement to make, but isn’t it the truth? From the beginning of the year to WrestleMania in April, the Bloodline story was red hot and led by the Final Boss (The Rock) and Cody Rhodes, who desperately wanted to “finish the story.” Although things dipped a bit for WWE afterward, they were able to keep afloat with the love triangle between Rhea Ripley, Dominik Mysterio, and Liv Morgan.
Now we have circled back to The Bloodline, and with things beginning to get stale again, another injection of adrenaline boosted the story with the long-awaited return of Paul Heyman. That appearance on Smackdown was everything, and bringing out CM Punk afterward is why fans love the long-term booking style the WWE tends to pull out from time to time. Almost a year to the date, CM Punk went on RAW in December 2023 and said in a promo, “Don’t forget who the OG Paul Heyman guy is.” That came up again at the end of Smackdown on Friday night as a little bit of lip reading led you to see Roman Reigns say, “he’s my Wiseman,” while Punk said, “We’ll see about that.” After the cameras went off the air, Heyman walked out with Punk and not Reigns, which could be a peek at what’s to come.
With regard to the match, expect absolute chaos, and when it’s all said and done, the new Bloodline will come out victorious. There is a chance that Sami Zayn will do an unexpected swerve, which will cost his team the match. He could be “under orders” by none other than The Final Boss himself, who will come out in the end blaming Reigns for his inability to get the job done. Either way, expect the unexpected when it comes to the finish on Saturday night.
Women’s WarGames Match: Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair, Bayley, Iyo Sky & Naomi vs. Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, Nia Jax, Tiffany Stratton & Candice LeRae
The women’s WarGames match wasn’t getting the right traction, but on RAW, an unexpected injury made it one of the more intriguing matchups of the night. Jade Cargill was seen laid out on the hood of a car, seemingly knocked out unconscious. This led to the team of Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair & Iyo Sky to be one woman short. Belair would receive help from Bayley towards the end of her match with Nia Jax later that night on RAW which automatically put her in the Women’s WarGames match on Saturday night.
Is Bayley who she says she is, or is this a way for everyone to witness the return of heel Bayley? The matchup appears to have the “faces” win it, but after all is said and done, look for Tiffany Stratton to cash the Money in the Bank briefcase on Nia Jax to become the new WWE Women’s Champion. That will certainly get a big ovation when Stratton’s hand is raised as the new champion.
World Heavyweight Championship Match: Gunther vs. Damian Priest

This storyline between Gunther and Damian Priest is interesting. Priest held the WWE world title for a few months before dropping it to Gunther over the summer. Since then, it appears that the WWE is not ready to give up on Priest and has given him a push leading to this world title opportunity on Saturday. This doesn’t appear as a one-off, so we will likely see Gunther come away with the victory, but the feud will continue through the new year.
WWE Intercontinental Championship Match: Bron Breakker vs. Sheamus vs. Ludwig Kaiser
This match appears to be more of a time filler than anything else. We all know that Bron Breaker is one of the guys due for a major push next year. This matchup is none other than Sheamus being the veteran, ensuring that he can put both of his opponents over. I fully expect Bron Breakker to win the match and look strong heading into the new year as he is groomed to become a world champion or, at a minimum, face John Cena.
WWE United States Championship Match: LA Knight vs. Shinsuke Nakamura
The WWE Universe is intrigued by this new version of Shinsuke Nakamura, and although LA Knight has a good amount of heat on him, WWE won’t waste this opportunity to put the title around Nakamura’s waist. LA Knight has been held back a bit, and dropping the title on Saturday will allow him to work his way towards a major world title.
