The partnership between ESPN and the WWE kicks off on Saturday night in Indianapolis, IN, as the premium live event “Wrestlepalooza” streams live on the ESPN app in the U.S. and on Netflix internationally.
Initially, the new partnership between ESPN and the WWE was supposed to kick off in 2026, but that deal was upgraded, hence making Wrestlepalooza the inaugural event. There is no better way to launch a new partnership than by featuring the company’s biggest stars on the card. John Cena continues his retirement tour, which only has a handful of dates remaining as he faces Brock Lesnar one last time. Also on the card is the intriguing mixed tag match between Seth Rollins and his wife Becky Lynch, going up against CM Punk and his wife AJ Lee.

The WWE undisputed heavyweight title will be on the line when Cody Rhodes faces Drew McIntyre. Rhodes has been off TV the last few weeks as he filmed his scenes in Australia for the upcoming film Street Fighter. With Roman Reigns written off TV to film his scenes in Australia, it’s now on Rhodes to continue his role as the face of the company.
All of the matches, including the one where the women’s world title will be on the line, should make for some entertaining tv. Will this show create new storylines or add another layer to the ones already in place? We are days away from finding out as Wrestlepalooza makes its ESPN debut.
