Zuffa Boxing Announces The Prelims For Shane Mosley Jr vs Serhii Bohachuk on Mother’s Day

Zuffa Boxing announced on Friday the rest of the fight card supporting the main event between Shane Mosley Jr. and Serhii Bohachuk, which will stream live on May 10 (Mother’s Day) on Paramount+.

As Zuffa Boxing continues to build its presence in the sport, it has consistently put on shows that ultimately keep fighters busy. It has the venue, although small and at times too quiet, to put on shows as often as it likes, which the same can’t be said for smaller promoters who don’t have a streaming platform deal. The verdict is still out on whether these Sunday shows generate enough interest from fans, as it’s out of the norm for them to watch boxing on a Sunday.

On May 10, Zuffa Boxing 06 will feature more young, undefeated fighters as they look to build their fighter pool for the future. Here are all the details for the prelims on that fight card.

The preliminary card features Justin Viloria versus Ivan Ortiz in a duel of unbeaten lightweights, 21-year-old heavyweight phenom Da’Mazion Vanhouter against Raphael Murphy, and the professional debut of Uzbek amateur standout Rakhmatullo Boymatov. Emiliano Cardenas and Alexis Alvarado will meet in a bantamweight bout that was originally scheduled for Zuffa Boxing 05 before Cardenas withdrew due to illness. The full five-fight preliminary card is as follows:

• Raphael Monny (9-0, 3 KOs) vs. Suray Mahmutovic (8-1-1, 6 KOs) – 8 Rounds, Light Heavyweight
• Justin Viloria (12-0, 8 KOs) vs. Ivan Ortiz (12-0-2, 9 KOs) – 8 Rounds, Lightweight 
• Da’Mazion Vanhouter (11-0, 8 KOs) vs. Raphael Murphy (18-1, 14 KOs) – 8 Rounds, Heavyweight 
• Emiliano Cardenas (10-0, 4 KOs) vs. Alexis Alvarado (9-1-1, 5 KOs) – 6 Rounds, Bantamweight
• Rakhmatullo Boymatov (Pro Debut) vs. Al Stanton (9-1, 6 KOs) – 6 Rounds, Light Heavyweight

As previously announced, second-generation star Shane Mosley Jr. (22-5, 12 KOs) takes on Ukrainian power puncher Serhii Bohachuk (27-3, 24 KOs) in the 10-round middleweight main event. In the welterweight co-feature, Julian “Hammer Hands” Rodriguez (25-1, 15 KOs) will battle the unbeaten James Perella (21-0, 15 KOs), while Mexican Olympic bronze medalist Misael Rodriguez (16-0, 8 KOs) fights Greece’s Andreas Katzourakis (16-0, 11 KOs) in a 10-round middleweight bout.
