IS WILL OSPREAY OFFICIALLY A DEATH RIDER?

Following the conclusion of Forbidden Door, we got an emotional glimpse behind the curtain as Renee Paquette caught up with an exhausted but relieved Will Ospreay alongside Alex Windsor. Before the interview could go far, Jon Moxley interrupted, prompting Ospreay to send Renee and Windsor away for a private conversation. Moxley reflected on the promise he had seen in Ospreay weeks earlier, explaining that greatness isn’t something that can be taught; it has to be lived. Calling AEW a place worth fighting for despite the politics, egos, and betrayals that plague professional wrestling, Moxley challenged Ospreay to become a steward of the industry rather than simply chase championships.

In a powerful show of respect, the Death Riders leader presented Ospreay with one of the group’s badges, inviting him to stand beside them in preserving the soul of AEW. The moment grew more intriguing when Kenny Omega crossed paths with Ospreay moments later, congratulating him on his incredible performance before noticing the badge. What began as heartfelt praise quickly turned tense as Ospreay accused Omega of giving up on himself, a claim Kenny rejected before MJF interrupted to stir the pot. After MJF walked away, Omega made one thing clear: no matter what path Ospreay chooses or whose badge he carries, nothing will change their bond, and their conversation is far from over. AEW WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: MAXWELL JACOB FRIEDMAN (C) VS. MARK BRISCOE

The AEW World Championship was on the line in a main event match that opened Dynamite as Maxwell Jacob Friedman survived the relentless punishment of Mark Briscoe in a hard-hitting war that pushed both men to their absolute limits. Briscoe came out swinging, overwhelming the champion before MJF once again proved why he’s one of the most ruthless competitors in professional wrestling. Never one to fight fair, MJF repeatedly targeted Briscoe’s already-open forehead, tearing away the bandage and reopening the wound as blood poured down the challenger’s face.

Despite the punishment, Briscoe refused to stay down, igniting the crowd with his signature “Redneck Kung Fu” offense and nearly capturing the title after a series of explosive near falls that had the arena believing an upset was within reach. As the battle spilled ringside, the challenger crashed through tables, launched himself off the barricade, and exposed the concrete floor in a desperate bid to put the champion away, but MJF continually found ways to survive.

Briscoe emptied the tank, connected with the Jay Driller, and threw everything at the self-proclaimed “Salt of the Earth,” but STILL, MJF refused to break. With the challenger fading, MJF capitalized on one final opening, countering Briscoe on the apron before delivering the Heatseeker to retain the AEW World Championship. The champion’s night, however, was far from over. After assaulting Briscoe with the Dynamite Diamond Ring, Friedman was interrupted by Kenny Omega. Omega challenged MJF to put the title on the line immediately. Still, the champion predictably declined, instead proposing a blockbuster showdown for next week’s Beach Break with a career-altering stipulation. If MJF wins, Kenny Omega will never again be allowed to challenge for the AEW World Championship as long as MJF remains champion.

Winner: And Still Champ MJF

HOW DO YOU KNOW A WAR IS COMING?

If there was any doubt that Maxwell Jacob Friedman intends to rule AEW on his own terms, he erased it emphatically backstage with Renee Paquette. Overflowing with the swagger that has defined his championship reign, MJF laughed at the suggestion that he needed to prepare for Kenny Omega, insisting the record already speaks for itself. After reminding the world that he has conquered elite names such as Bryan Danielson, Jon Moxley, Hiroshi Tanahashi, and Kyle Fletcher. The champion shifted his attention to Andrade El Idolo, promising that retribution was coming.

MJF warned that Andrade wouldn’t know when or where payback would strike, only that it would hit “like a ton of bricks.” He proclaimed himself the undisputed best wrestler on the planet, dismissing both “The Best Bout Machine” Kenny Omega and “The Aerial Assassin” Will Ospreay before predicting that Omega would never accept his career-altering Beach Break stipulation. Ospreay interrupted the interview to mock MJF’s oversized ego and question why he needed to stack the deck against Omega. MJF reminded Ospreay that champions dictate the terms before declaring their paths were destined to collide at Wembley Stadium.

That tension intensified moments later when Tony Schiavone welcomed Andrade El Idolo to the ring. Fresh off severing ties with Don Callis, Andrade declared that the distractions were over and his sole focus was the AEW World Championship. The declaration barely left his lips before the Don Callis Family descended like vultures. Brian Cage, Lance Archer, Jake Doyle, and Kevin Knight swarmed Andrade from behind, overwhelming him. Cage drove him into the mat with a devastating Drill Claw while a grinning Don Callis stood over the wreckage, mocking Andrade’s “How you know?” catchphrase before ordering his men to throw the “turncoat” out like garbage.

As if the championship warfare in AEW wasn’t chaotic enough, Mercedes Moné added her name in a confident video message. “The CEO” reminded the world that she is a two-time Owen Hart Cup winner who raises the standard everywhere she competes, declaring that the AEW Women’s World Championship isn’t something she is chasing but the final piece of a legacy that already belongs to her. With egos colliding and championship ambition in every division, Dynamite made one thing clear: no one is waiting their turn anymore, and the race to the top of AEW has become as ruthless as the champions who sit atop it.

TNT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: KEVIN KNIGHT (C) VS. LIO RUSH

Kevin Knight proved why he is the champ and future of wrestling after surviving a grueling TNT Championship defense against “Blackheart” Lio Rush. Before the opening bell, Rush unveiled an all-black ROH TV Championship. Once the match began, he relentlessly targeted Knight’s injured knee, forcing the champion to battle through pain while matching Rush’s speed and creativity. Despite several heart-stopping near falls and interference from Jake Doyle, Knight refused to stay down, digging deep before catching Rush with a thunderous Short Arm Rock Bottom to retain the TNT Championship in one of his toughest victories to date.

Knight’s celebration was cut short when Darby Allin claimed the TNT Championship and the Champ was next on his hit list. Before the champion could respond, Don Callis stepped in, labeling Allin a criminal for his actions at Death’s Door and vowing that the Don Callis Family would never allow him another title opportunity. Unfazed, Darby wore a knowing grin and warned Knight that he’d just dug his own grave before walking away laughing, leaving the champion with more questions than answers. Knight may have escaped with the gold, but his biggest fight is only just beginning.

CIAMPA AND JERICHO ARE JUST HEATING UP

What began as a routine backstage interview quickly erupted into chaos when Renee Paquette caught up with Tommaso Ciampa. Before Ciampa could finish calling Chris Jericho a bully and declaring himself the superior man, Jericho launched a surprise attack, blasting him in the head with a trash can and igniting a wild backstage brawl.

The rivals tore through the loading dock, overwhelming security as Ciampa hurled guards aside, drove a shopping cart into Jericho’s midsection, and nearly used a power drill before Jericho escaped. The fight escalated onto the back of a production truck, where Jericho answered with a dive that flattened Ciampa. It took a platoon of security to separate them, but their uncontainable hatred made it clear this rivalry has spiraled far beyond words and is becoming one of AEW’s most personal and dangerous feuds.

WILL HE, OR WON’T HE?

Renee Paquette was granted rare access to The Elite’s locker room, where Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks weighed one of the biggest decisions of Omega’s career. With Maxwell Jacob Friedman’s career-altering stipulation looming over a potential AEW World Championship match, Matt and Nick Jackson voiced their unwavering confidence that “The Best Bout Machine” could overcome the odds. Omega, however, wasn’t ready to commit.

Admitting he was still wrestling with the decision, he questioned what would remain of his legacy if he could never challenge for the AEW World Championship again. Reflecting on his first title reign, Omega confessed that becoming champion once before had taken him down a path he never wanted, forcing him to rely on others and become someone he no longer recognized. Determined not to repeat history, he made one thing known: if he accepts MJF’s challenge, he’ll walk into the biggest match of his career alone, win or lose. As Renee quietly stepped away, The Elite remained deep in discussion, leaving the future of AEW’s championship picture hanging in the balance.

DEATH RIDERS? (JON MOXLEY & WILL OSPREAY) VS. THE SWIRL (BLAKE CHRISTIAN & LEE JOHNSON)

The unlikely alliance of Jon Moxley and Will Ospreay continued to build momentum as the Death Riders faced Lee Johnson and Blake Christian in a tag team match. The ROH stars isolated Moxley early with quick tags to keep the former AEW World Champion on the defensive. Momentum shifted when Ospreay entered the ring. The Aerial Assassin injected explosiveness, soaring over the ropes with a breathtaking plancha that wiped out both opponents. Even after exchanging words with Jay Lethal at ringside, Ospreay never lost focus, keeping the pressure on as he and Moxley methodically wore them down.

After surviving a furious rally from Christian and Johnson, Moxley leveled Johnson with a thunderous lariat to create the opening his partner needed. Ospreay exploded back into the match, overwhelming both with unmatched athleticism while the Death Riders showed chemistry that grows stronger each week. Moxley planted a devastating Paradigm Shift, and Ospreay delivered the exclamation point with a Hidden Blade to score the victory. As the final bell sounded, Moxley and Ospreay shared a respectful handshake in the center of the ring, a simple gesture that spoke volumes about their growing mutual respect.

Winners: THE DEATH RIDERS!

BANG BANG GANG ARE BACK, AND EVERYONE IS ON NOTICE

The landscape of AEW shifted dramatically as one of professional wrestling’s most dangerous minds officially returned to reclaim his throne. Backstage, Adam Copeland revealed he had called in an old favor from “Switchblade” Jay White, but the revelation didn’t sit well with Christian Cage. Still harboring resentment from their history before White’s injury, Christian walked away, leaving Copeland frustrated and raising questions about their alliance.

Those questions took a backseat when Jay White made his official return with the Bang Bang, Juice Robinson, Austin Gunn, Colten Gunn, and Ace Austin. After 459 days away, “Switchblade” wasted no time reminding everyone exactly who he is. He called out the complacency in AEW, targeted the Death Riders, and labeled Will Ospreay “the greatest fraud in the industry,” making it clear his return was about reclaiming what he believes has always belonged to him. But what exactly is that?

He then turned his attention to longtime rival David Finlay, delivering a verbal assault that blended history with humiliation. Reminding everyone they came through the NJPW Dojo together, he branded Finlay nothing more than a “nepo baby” living off his family name. The crowd echoed the insult as White promised their collision would officially begin the “Switchblade Era” again. Before the celebration could settle, Shane Taylor Promotions issued a warning, claiming Collision now belongs to them and daring the reunited Bang Bang Gang to come get some.

Just like that, one of AEW’s most dangerous factions was back, old scores were reignited, and the battle lines for Collision and beyond were unmistakably drawn.

TBS CHAMPIONSHIP SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST MATCH: HARLEY CAMERON VS. HIKARU SHIDA VS. KRIS STATLANDER VS. MAIKA VS. PERSEPHONE VS. QUEEN AMINATA

The battle for the vacant AEW TBS Championship was fun from beginning to end as Hikaru Shida, Kris Statlander, Queen Aminata, Maika, Harley Cameron, and Persephone collided in an elimination match where alliances formed and dissolved in the blink of an eye. Bodies flew from every direction as the six competitors fought for survival, with Persephone making an immediate impact by eliminating Harley Cameron before Kris Statlander answered with an Olympic Slam. Shida’s veteran instincts shone as the field narrowed, eliminating Maika after a hard-fought exchange. Queen Aminata appeared poised to build momentum before Persephone inserted herself again, stealing another elimination and leaving the title within reach for the final three.

With the gold on the line, Shida, Statlander, and Persephone waged war, momentum swinging with every near fall. Persephone’s elimination left two of AEW’s most decorated competitors standing in a battle of grit. Just as Statlander seemed poised to seize control, Persephone returned and blasted her with the championship belt from the outside. Shida capitalized immediately, trapping Statlander in a submission that forced the referee to stop the match. Hikaru Shida is your new AEW TBS Champion!

TITLE VS. LEGACY?

The heart of AEW Dynamite belonged to Kenny Omega tonight. Omega stood at the crossroads of his legendary career, facing the biggest decision of his life. Before heading to the ring, he was stopped backstage by Will Ospreay, who admitted he wanted nothing more than to see Kenny reclaim the AEW World Championship so they could collide at Wembley Stadium. Beneath his encouragement lay genuine concern. Ospreay questioned whether Omega truly believed in himself anymore, prompting an honest response from “The Best Bout Machine.” Calling this his “Death Ground,” Omega vowed that if it were his final shot at the mountain, he would charge into it with everything he had left.

In front of the AEW faithful, the former World Champion delivered one of the most heartfelt promos of his career, reflecting on nearly three decades in professional wrestling. Though his body bears the scars of countless wars, Omega confessed a fire still burned inside him—a belief that one more championship reign, one more defining moment, and one more opportunity to represent AEW on the grandest stage were within reach. Acknowledging the devastating consequences of defeat, he refused to let fear dictate his legacy. With conviction roaring through the arena, Omega accepted Maxwell Jacob Friedman’s challenge, bringing the crowd to its feet in an unforgettable moment of hope.

That hope was shattered instantly. MJF stormed the ring and blindsided Omega, igniting an all-out brawl between the two rivals. MJF reached for the Dynamite Diamond Ring, but Omega exploded back to life, tackling the champion and raining down punches as security flooded the ring. Even an army of officials couldn’t contain the chaos, as the rivals repeatedly broke free before MJF retreated up the entrance ramp. Standing on the stage with the AEW World Championship held high, MJF stared back at Omega while security formed a wall between them. The challenge had been accepted, battle lines drawn, and with Beach Break looming, the stage was set for a collision that could alter AEW’s future forever.
