Omega addressed the dire stipulation if he failed to take the AEW World Championship from MJF. Omega said if he lost, then he’d shake his opponent’s hand, but it won’t be easy. He questioned if MJF could dig deep enough to “kill” him. Omega also said he had no friends in the building other than Michael Nakazawa.
Chris Jericho vs. Tommaso Ciampa
Tommaso Ciampa tried to deliver a cheap shot during Chris Jericho’s entrance. Instead, Jericho entered through the crowd and sent Ciampa crashing into beach chairs. As Jericho’s theme song was still playing, he put his opponent right through one of the chairs with a suplex.
The bell rang when the action entered the ring. Ciampa had a wound on the back of his thigh from the chair suplex earlier. He left the ring, but Jericho dove on him from the top rope. Ciampa finally gained some steam by planting Jericho with a DDT. He then delivered a knee strike and taunted the crowd.
The two fought on the ring apron, and Jericho connected with a Death Valley Driver. Ciampa was sent crashing into the ring steps. Jericho looked for a suplex off the steps, but Ciampa bounced his opponent’s head off the ring post before landing a butterfly suplex onto the steps. Jericho was busted open from the suplex.
Back from the break, Jericho fought back with some chops and a clothesline in the corner. He perched Ciampa on the second rope, but Ciampa caught him in an air raid crash. Jericho looked for the Walls of Jericho, but Ciampa countered and looked for one of his own. Ciampa went high-risk, but Jericho cut him off and landed a hurricanrana.

Ospreay said he knows 14-year-old Japanese girls who would run circles around MJF. He said MJF will never be a part of the conversation of great wrestlers as long as he continues to take shortcuts. MJF spat at Ospreay, and the two brawled before security separated them.
