Jason Moloney Signs To Zuffa Boxing

Former WBO bantamweight champion Jason Moloney is the latest fighter to sign with Zuffa Boxing, as announced by the promotion company on Tuesday.

The 35-year-old Moloney (29-4, 20 KOs) from Mitcham, Victoria, Australia, went 1-1 in 2025 as he aimed to get back into the world title picture. A unanimous decision victory in April and his signing with Zuffa Boxing appear to be directing Moloney toward either another world title opportunity or a shot at the Zuffa title. Either way, this is likely Moloney’s last opportunity to achieve one last accomplishment before hanging up the gloves. Moloney’s first fight on Zuffa will be revealed in the next couple of weeks.

Moloney (29-4, 20 KOs) turned pro in 2014, winning his first 17 outings while fighting exclusively in Australia. He captured a world title in May 2023, defeating Filipino puncher Vincent Astrolabio by majority decision. Moloney defended the belt in a Fight of the Year battle against Saul Sanchez before relinquishing it to Japan’s Yoshiki Takei in a spirited 12-rounder. He joins the Zuffa stable having won two consecutive fights, most recently earning a unanimous decision over American contender Andre Donovan in April. 

Moloney also belongs to one of boxing’s most accomplished families: his twin brother, Andrew, currently holds a junior bantamweight world title. The Moloneys are one of only five sets of twins in boxing history in which both siblings have won world championships.
