One of Matchroom Boxing’s hottest prospects, Ben Whittaker, returns on Saturday after Callum Smith had to pull out of his fight with David Morrell due to an injury, making Whittaker the main event.

Whittaker (10-0-1, 7 KOs) will face Braian Suarez (21-4, 20 KOs) in a scheduled ten-round fight, live on DAZN from the Liverpool Arena in England. Whittaker will make his 2026 debut after fighting twice in 2025 and signing a new promotional deal with Matchroom. Suarez fought three times last year, going 2-1, with his last fight ending in a second-round TKO victory. With a high knockout rate, will Suarez be too much of a challenge for Whittaker?
