CM Punk Is Back With The WWE & Everyone Is Here For It

The Survivor Series went off without a hitch, but at the last possible moment before traditionally going off the air, the graphic with CM Punk’s name appeared, and his music filled the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois. The pop was deafening and may very well be the biggest pop in years. Although the music was playing, all that was left was for the man himself to come out, and when he did, the play went absolutely wild. Although he was just in AEW not too long ago, the energy was unreal, and it reassured those in the back that it was the right move to make at the right time.

CM Punk engaged with the crowd and made the moment into everything. It was a sight to see as he left the company on bad terms over ten years ago, and he probably never imagined himself ever stepping foot into a WWE arena. One person who didn’t seem too happy with the CM Punk entrance was Seth Rollins, who was captured by a fan’s camera giving Punk the middle finger and having to be held back. This could be a work to begin building a match between Rollins and Punk, but there is some really bad blood between the two, which could mean it was a blend of story and reality. Those are some of the best storylines that excite everyone, like John Cena‘s one with The Rock.

The more interesting part is Triple H doing what is best for business and bringing Punk back into the WWE. They certainly didn’t see eye to eye years ago, and that conversation had to be interesting. To be a fly on the wall for that meeting would have been epic. Triple H posing for a photo with Punk is at the top of the list of things that weren’t expected to happen in 2023.

How long will CM Punk stay in the WWE? He may last longer than his run at AEW since he won’t be the one relied upon to sell tickets. A matchup with Cody Rhodes is also intriguing with all of the AEW back story. There are plenty of options, and we will all find out tomorrow night on RAW when CM Punk grabs the mic for the first time in a WWE ring in over ten years.
