Ernesto ‘Tito’ Mercado Returns On February 10

Ernesto Mercado is the hottest unsigned fighter in the sport of boxing. The prizefighter will return on February 10th, 2024 at the C. Robert Lee Activity Center in Hawaiian Gardens, California, to mark the first bout of MarvNation’s calendar year.

Mercado, who was recently awarded BoxingScene.com’s Prospect of the Year in 2023 has gone the independent route. Though he fights nothing like Devin Haney, his method to fame is similar. His father, Ernesto Mercado Sr., is funding his career, and paying for fights locally against good opponents.

At just 22-years-old holds wins over Hank Lundy, Jeremia Nakathila, and  Xolisani Ndongeni.  His record 13 wins, no losses with 12 knockout wins. Ndongeni is the only man to go all ten rounds with him as of now. No opponent has been given for Mercado as of now.

The fight from Pomona, California, who trains out of G2G Boxing Club, is looking to be in world title contention by the end of the year. The undercard will feature the following regional talents Joey Abudy (3-0, 2 KOs)

Mylik Birdsong (14-1, 10 KOs), Matias Radcliffe (6-0-1, 4 KOs),Andy Beltran (6-0, 3 KOs), Juan Estrada (1-0, 1 KO) , Kyle Erwin (7-1, 3 KOs), Jaime Cuesta (6-0,3 KOs), and Michael Bracamontes (8-1-1, 4 KOs).
