OCEANSIDE, Calif. – 14 months after Golden Boy Promotions hosted the first boxing event at the Frontwave Arena in Oceanside, CA, on Saturday night, the promotion returns to the venue with another championship fight card. WBA, WBO & Ring Magazine minimumweight champion Oscar Collazo (14-0, 11 KOs) defends his titles against Joey Canoy (25-5-2, 15 KOs) live on DAZN.

Although fans anticipated Collazo would wait until later this year for a fight against one of the other champions, he has decided to stay busy with a title defense. If successful, he will be sharper for a title unification later in the year. Collazo’s opponent, Canoy, will be making his U.S. debut after scoring a unanimous decision over Pablito Balidio in March. Canoy is currently ranked #9 with the WBA and #5 with the WBO. With the betting odds heavily favoring Collazo to win, it’ll be up to Canoy to pull off a big upset on Saturday night.
