WWE Announces ‘Largest Domestic Gate in Monday Night Raw History’

We are only on Monday for WrestleMania week, and the WWE is already setting records. Since the announcement of The Rock appearing on Monday Night Raw at the Barclays Center in NY, the whole city has been buzzing, and the arena has sold out in no time. Earlier today, the WWE announced that Monday night’s show is sold out and set a new record for the Monday Night Show.

“TONIGHT from a SOLD OUT #WWERaw: @therock and @romanreigns will be here LIVE; #TheJudgmentDay will battle #DIY and The New Day in an 8-Man Tag Team Match. @maxxinedupri & @ivynile_wwe take on @candicelerae & @indihartwell @samizayn battles @bronsonishere 8/7c on @usanetwork”

“Triple H would follow this post officially announcing the record breaking show. “We’re not even a full day into #WrestleMania Week, and the WWE Universe is already smashing records.Tonight’s #WWERaw in Brooklyn will be the largest domestic gate in the history of the red brand. @barclayscenter”

Since we are in the social media era, it has allowed for WWE’s events to get bigger and bigger. There is little doubt that this year’s WrestleMania will be the biggest of all time. The Bloodline storyline with Cody Rhodes has been too good, and fans have no idea what will happen this weekend. That’s great if you are the WWE, as that level of intrigue may break the internet on Saturday night. Look for the RAW & Smackdown “go home” shows to do just that before the business’ Super Bowl.
