Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson Set For July 20 in Dallas,TX On Netflix

YouTube sensation turned boxer Jake Paul (9-1, 6 KOs) has announced his next fight against someone of a surprise. Boxing hall of famer and former undisputed heavyweight champion Mike Tyson (50-6, 44 KOs) will once again glove up to face Paul in a fight at the AT&T Stadium (Cowboy Stadium) in Dallas, TX, on July 20, which will stream exclusively on Netflix.

Paul took to his social media account to announce the fight and let everyone know why he chose “The Baddest Man on the Planet” as his next opponent. “He’s the greatest heavyweight of all time…the most vicious KO artist ever. But I’m younger, I’m faster, and I’m going to be working my ass off to get stronger. A member of my team sent me this video that Mike’s coach put up two weeks ago and asked me if I’m sure that I want to do this…yes, yes, I do. Heavyweight.”

Meanwhile, Tyson kept it simple and posted on X: “We signed the contract.’ @netflix @MostVpromotionstions #PaulTyson”

The 27-year-old Paul is fresh off his first-round knockout over Ryan Bourland in Puerto Rico on Saturday night. Paul wasn’t ready to reveal who his next opponent was then, but it seemed like the details of the Tyson fight were still being revealed. With Bourland’s poor performance, Paul and his team had to come up with something big to keep the fans’ interest, and it doesn’t get any bigger than Tyson when talking profiles.

Meanwhile, the 57-year-old Tyson hasn’t been in the ring since his exhibition against Roy Jones Jr in November 2020. Although no one was deemed a winner, it was one of the biggest boxing shows during the pandemic, reportedly selling over one million PPVs.

Details of the fight between Paul and Tyson haven’t been revealed, so it’ll be interesting to see how many rounds and if it will be a sanctioned fight or exhibition. One thing is certain: Paul will face Tyson on Netflix on July 20, and the streaming service may have just landed the event of the year.
