The judges saw this one 117-109 and 118-108 twice for Davis (15-0, 10 KOs), who showcased his elite speed and talent on Top Rank’s debut show on DAZN. After the fight, Davis was asked whether he would move up to welterweight or stay at 140, and he didn’t commit to either, but did express the difficulties of making 140 pounds. It’ll be interesting to see which route he takes in the future.
In the opening round, it was clear that Davis’ speed was levels above Albright’s. Davis landed his left jab at will to Albright’s head and body. Davis used good range and foot feints to keep Albright guessing. Albright had very little offense throughout the round.
Although Albright was able to get going in the second round behind his left jab, it still wasn’t enough to keep Davis off him. Davis’ counterpunching and speed were just too much for Albright throughout the round. Rounds three and four were all Davis, but in the fifth, Albright landed a hard right hand while Davis was coming in, which buzzed him for a second. Davis quickly recovered and landed a quick combination toward the end of the round to get the judges’ attention.
In the sixth round, Davis came roaring back and landed numerous four-punch combinations, with Albright unable to punch back or counter. Despite dominating the seventh round, Davis had a lapse in judgment when he picked up Albright and slammed him to the canvas during a clinch. The referee deducted two points from Davis for the slam.
In rounds 8-12, Davis showcased his superior boxing skills and almost stopped Albright in the final round. Davis earned a unanimous decision and can now look forward to nothing but big fights.

Brian Norman Jr. (29-1, 22 KOs) knocked down Josh Wagner (19-3, 10 KOs) twice in the second round, leading to a TKO victory. The fight should have been stopped after the first knockdown, but the referee allowed it to continue, and the inevitable happened shortly after.
Kelvin Davis (16-1, 8 KOs) scores a split decision over Peter Dobson (17-4, 10 KOs) in a fight that was razor-close but far from entertaining. The three judges saw this one 98-92 for Dobson, 99-91 for Davis, and 97-93 for Davis. It’s hard to say where Kelvin Davis is in his career, but he needs to be busier and not on the main card of events.
Yan Santana (17-0, 13 KOs) had to work hard for his unanimous decision victory over Cristian Cruz (24-8-2, 12 KOs). Even though two of the scorecards were wider than the actual fight (97-93 & 98-92), the third (96-94) accurately depicted how the fight played out. Santana remains undefeated, but he is certainly not ready for a title shot next and should take a few more of these types of fights before looking at a title shot.
