In the sport of boxing, it doesn’t get any bigger than Cinco de Mayo weekend in Las Vegas, NV. Undisputed super middleweight champion Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez (60-2-2, 39 KOs) will defend his titles against Jaime Munguia (43-0, 34 KOs) which streams live on Prime Video PPV, PPV.com and DAZN PPV. Will the champion Canelo retain his titles, or is this the moment Munguia beats a Mexican living legend?
The last time Canelo was in the ring, he chased Jermell Charlo all over the ring as the former undisputed junior middleweight champion did not engage much in their September fight. Canelo scored a unanimous decision, winning practically every round. This fight with Munguia will be different, and the die-hard boxing fans know it, which is why the level of anticipation is high for this fight.

On the other hand, Munguia stopped John Ryder in January, which Canelo could not do over 12 rounds when he fought Ryder in May 2023. Munguia showed his offensive onslaught under the tutelage of Freddie Roach, but more importantly, he went after Ryder when he knew he was ready to go instead of allowing it to go to the scorecards. Will Munguia use that aggressive style against Canelo on Saturday?
