TNA “Thursday Night iMPACT” featured a six-man tag team match with TNA World Champion Mike Santana aligning with Nic Nemeth and KC Navarro to take on Mustafa Ali and The Great Hands. The match took place just one week after Nemeth blindsided Santana with a superkick. Plus, Frankie Kazarian hosted “The King’s Speech” with special guests Leon Slater and TNA X Division Champion Cedric Alexander.

Tensions Boil Over Between Lei Ying Lee and Xia Brookside

Xia Brookside opened the show with an in-ring segment. Brookside berated the fans for booing her. She claimed to be the victim of her former friendship with TNA Knockouts World Champion Lei Ying Lee. Brookside said the Angel Warriors team was supposed to be about her becoming the star.

Lee interrupted the promo after Brookside vowed to take the Knockouts gold at “Slammiversary.” Lee said she once treated Brookside like a little sister, but she now sees who she really is: a snake and a rat. Lee wasn’t interested in waiting for June 28, and she attacked Brookside before TNA security separated the two.

Mike Santana Warns Nic Nemeth

Gia Miller interviewed Mike Santana and revealed that the TNA World Champion and Nic Nemeth can’t get physical with one another in their tag team match. Santana said he doesn’t take losses, he takes lessons. Santana warned Nemeth that at “Slammiversary,” he will rip his heart out of his chest.

KC Navarro walked in and reminded Santana that tonight isn’t about Nemeth. He said their team has no choice but to work together against Order 4.

Mike Santana, Nic Nemeth, and KC Navarro vs. Mustafa Ali and The Great Hands w/Order 4

Nic Nemeth made a blind tag right away, and Mike Santana wasn’t thrilled about it. Nemeth and John Skyler got things started. Nemeth faked tagging in Santana, and instead Navarro was the legal man. Santana and Nemeth had a staredown, allowing Mustafa Ali and The Great Hands to ambush their opponents. Santana powerbombed Jason Hotch into Ali and Skyler outside of the ring before an ad break.

Tasha Steelz and Special Agent Zero were ejected from ringside during the break. Ali and The Great Hands hit a triple powerbomb on Navarro. Ali went for a suplex but got countered with a cutter. Santana made the hot tag and drilled Hotch with a kick in the corner. He then caught Hotch with a Death Valley Driver before wiping out Ali and Skyler with a suicide dive.

Santana looked for Spin The Block, but Nemeth tagged himself in again and hit a Famouser on Hotch. Another distraction led to The Great Hands planting Nemeth with The Favor, but Navarro broke up the pin. Navarro took out Ali with a suicide dive DDT.

Santana saved Nemeth from a double team and hit a double Rolling Buck Fifty. Nemeth then hit a double Danger Zone for the win.

Winners: Nic Nemeth, Mike Santana, and KC Navarro

After the match, Ryan Nemeth ambushed Mike Santana. Santana accidentally took out Navarro. Nic Nemeth took advantage and hit a superkick on the TNA World Champion.

Mike Santana and Nic Nemeth Nearly Brawl Backstage

Nic Nemeth spoke to KC Navarro backstage and told him he can’t trust anyone. He claimed Mike Santana hit him on purpose before Ryan Nemeth got in Navarro’s face. Santana then barged in, but security stopped things from getting physical.

Frankie Kazarian Makes Huge Announcement

Frankie Kazarian hosted a new edition of “The King’s Speech.” He put over the return of the Ultimate X match, which is set for “Slammiversary.” Kazarian bragged about being a pillar of the X Division. Leon Slater and Cedric Alexander made their way out to serve as guests.

Kazarian asked Slater how he felt about failing to become the longest-reigning TNA X Division Champion. Alexander laughed at Slater. Alexander said Slater was never on his level. He bragged about stealing Slater’s dream.

The two nearly came to blows before Kazarian got in the middle. Kazarian then revealed he has some information about the X Division match. He announced that he is a new participant in the title match at “Slammiversary.”

AJ Francis Explains Why He Took Elijah’s IP

An “Inside The Music” vignette for AJ Francis aired. Francis claimed that Elijah’s decision to avoid working with him hurt him emotionally. Francis called Suge Knight a “great American hero,” and he wanted to follow in his footsteps. He said he went after Elijah’s IP because he didn’t deserve it.

Ricky Sosa vs. Dak Draper

Eric Young was a guest on commentary, and he was none too pleased about Ricky Sosa costing him in his TNA World Championship match against Mike Santana last week. Sosa hit a basement dropkick to the back of Dak Draper. Sosa went for a suplex, but Draper countered and delivered a kick.

Draper went for a hip toss, but Sosa landed on his feet and delivered a dropkick. Draper rolled to the outside, and Sosa hit a dive. Sosa went for a springboard, but Draper cut him off. Draper slammed Sosa down to the mat, but he eventually ate an enzuigiri followed by a German suplex.

Draper went for a high-risk move, but Sosa landed a hurricanrana. He then connected with a springboard dropkick. Sosa landed Blue Thunder Bang for the victory.

Mr. Elegance Granted Spot in Ultimate X

The Elegance Brand knocked on Daria Rae’s door. The Personal Concierge asked if there was a spot available for Mr. Elegance in the Ultimate X match. Rae granted Mr. Elegance his place in the match. Indi Hartwell bumped into Ash by Elegance, and the two exchanged words.

Indi Hartwell vs. Elayna Black

Mara Sade joined Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt on commentary for the match. Indi Hartwell landed a European uppercut and then a big boot. Hartwell went for another big boot in the corner, but Black got out of the way and landed a high knee. Black slammed her opponent’s head down to the canvas and dropped double knees to the back.

Hartwell fought out of a headlock, but she was taken down by a clothesline. Black was taken down by two clotheslines and then a spinebuster. The Personal Concierge and Ash by Elegance were on the entrance stage to distract Hartwell. The two then made their way to ringside.

Sade had enough and prevented Ash from interfering in the match. Hartwell then caught Black in a backslide pin for the win.

Winner: Indi Hartwell

A post-match brawl ensued. Sade helped Hartwell get rid of The Elegance Brand and Black.

Fabian Aichner and KC Navarro Enter Ultimate X

Santino Marella and Fabian Aichner had a conversation backstage. Aichner asked for a spot in the Ultimate X match for “Slammiversary,” and his request was granted. Nic Nemeth then walked in and suggested that KC Navarro also get an entry, which Marella agreed to.

Gia Miller was going to speak about The Hardys, but Mike Santana interrupted and called out Nic Nemeth for a face-to-face meeting at the end of “Thursday Night iMPACT.”

The Hardys and Moose vs. The System (Eddie Edwards, Bear Bronson, and Brian Myers) w/Alisha

Matt and Jeff Hardy were in their “Broken” form for the match. Even Moose showed up in “Broken” attire. Eddie Edwards refused to start the match with Moose, so Brian Myers was tagged in. Myers also didn’t want to start off with Moose and called for Matt.

Matt was tagged in and he tied up with Myers. Myers’ head was sent into all three turnbuckles in a corner. Jeff made the tag and he completed a double-team with his brother on Myers. The Hardys then planted Bear Bronson with a double suplex and Poetry in Motion.

Returning from the back, The System finally gained an advantage thanks to interference from Alisha. Eddie Edwards was the legal man against Jeff before tagging in Bronson. The two hit back elbows on Jeff. Moose had enough, and he powerbombed Edwards on the ring apron. Bronson landed a hip drop on Jeff and rained down punches. Myers was tagged in, and he landed a driver on Jeff for a near fall. Jeff and Myers hit simultaneous clotheslines. Edwards was tagged in, but he couldn’t stop the hot tag to Moose.

Moose took out all members of The System. He hit a dropkick on Edwards and then a uranage on Myers, followed by a senton. Edwards looked for the Boston Knee Party, but he ran into a powerbomb. Bronson planted Moose with a Choke Bomb. Matt hit a Side Effect on Bronson.

Jeff hit Twist of Fate on Myers. The Righteous then appeared on the stage, climbing up a ladder. The Hardys landed Plot Twist on Myers. Bronson and Jeff took each other out with simultaneous headbutts. Alisha got on the apron, but Moose thwarted her slap attempt. Edwards almost ran into Alisha.

Alisha nailed Moose with a kendo stick shot, allowing Edwards to connect with Boston Knee Party for the victory.

Mike Santana Sends Clear Message to Nic Nemeth

Mike Santana made his way out through the crowd for the final segment of the show. He entered the ring and dared Nic Nemeth to meet him at the center of the ring. Instead, Ryan Nemeth appeared. Ryan claimed his big brother is the greatest wrestler in the world.

Santana then hurled an expletive at Nic, which Ryan was not happy about. Nic finally walked out and said Santana is too emotional. He claimed Santana made the most of his 15 minutes of fame, but it’s time to turn the page. Santana vowed to rip Nic’s head off at “Slammiversary.”
